USAAF flight gear : combat use

 

Underneath you'll find some examples of possible flight gear combinations as used by aircrew.

 

 

 

Left: M-3 flak helmet with A-9 helmet, A-9 oxygen mask and anti-flak goggles.

Middle: Same display without M-3 flak helmet. Note the hooks on the A-9 helmet for attaching the A-9 oxygen mask.
